
Today was a much better day. Last night, I decided to uninstall instagram, as well as log off on my computer; that way it’s not easy to get on. I’m not sure if that was the reason things were better today, or just a factor. I did try to go on once or twice, but thankfully I wasn’t logged in. I’m not sure how long this is going to last, I want to try for at least a week, but it’s to be determined.
As for my workout, I did Week 8 Chest/Triceps which included 20 minutes of cardio. I was a little nervous, since chin-ups, push ups, and bench presses are movements that strain elbow flexors. However, everything felt completely fine! Well, almost everything. The pushups felt iffy, but it wasn’t causing any pain, thankfully there weren’t many sets/reps. I did them on my knees, because I thought it’d be better. Also, after not doing them for 5 weeks, I’ve definitely lost my strength and any progress I made.
I stuck with mostly 5 and 10 pound dumbbells, except I used a 20lb for narrow chest press and a 15lb for overhead tricep extensions. Again, there was no pain throughout my entire workout (side note: it’s the next morning and there hasn’t been any pain or irritation).
Then before dinner, I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes. It was a struggle getting started, but once I got going it wasn’t as bad. I got in almost 11,000 steps for the day. It’s not 13,000 but it is over 10,000.
