Day 12: Project Reset

For today’s workout (& fasted cardio), I spent about an hour on the treadmill. My original plan was to do Week 8 Day 1 of C25K, but I honestly couldn’t be bothered. So, I put on yesterday’s White Sox vs Brewers game and walked during innings and ran (going 6.0 mph) during the inning changes. But then once my Fitbit said I was at 2.50 miles I ran, between 6.0-6.3 mph, until I reached 3.1 miles. Then I walked the rest until I hit 4.02 miles.

This has become one of my favorite ways to get some running in. I’m able to push myself but also take breaks if I need it, without feeling guilty. Plus, it’s better than sitting for 3+ hours to watch a baseball game. That said, I got through 3.5 innings.

Unfortunately, I did not get my 13,000 steps, but I did get a little over 11,000 in. My goal may be to hit 13,000, but at the end of the day, I still want to get in at least 10,000.

My eating was okay. One thing that I’ve noticed is that I’ve been getting better at saying no, especially after dinner when all I want to do is snack. Normally, I have a little snack after dinner, eventually wanting to eat some more, but I’ll talk myself out of it. It’s like I’ll realize that I’m not actually hungry, think about the regret I’ll potentially feel later, and stop myself before I get to that point. Obviously, I’ll eat if I’m actually hungry but if I’m not, the food will be there tomorrow. I may not do it all the time, but I’ve been doing it enough to realize that I’m doing it. Which I’d consider a mini win.
