I sort of got to a late start to the day. Even though I was ready to workout at 8, I didn’t end up starting until 9:30 because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Did I want to walk/run on the treadmill; go hiking; go on a walk, if so where, near my house or drive to a nearby trail? I ended up going with the latter because, even if it was already 100+ at 9:30 am, a huge part of me just wanted to be out of the house.
I was able to get in 3.01 miles in just under an hour and a half, and almost 2 episodes of Talkin’ Baseball. It was hot, which means that there were barely any people out. I seriously cannot wait for Fall/Winter and cooler weather. I miss being able to hike, safely and comfortably, at whatever time of day.
My eating was really good, I ended up having 2 desserts, because why not?
Breakfast: 1/2 c oats, 1/2 packet of Vegan Banana Nut Bread Protein Powder, ~1 T Peanut Butter. This was my 1st time trying the protein powder and I’m not sure how I feel about it. It wasn’t bad, but it’s not my favorite in oats (Pumpkin Spice). Next time I use it, I’m gonna try adding in some bananas to see if it’s better.
Post-Walk: Protein shake with Orangesicle Protein Powder, 1/2 banana, some strawberries and almond milk.
Lunch: BLT with Egg Sandwich. There’s just something about summertime and sandwiches. Also, this may be one of my new favorites.
Dessert 1: Reese’s Chewy Chocolate Bars w/Peanut Butter Chips x2
Dinner: Brown Rice, Broccoli, and Ground Turkey. I was still hungry after so I decided to snack on an Apple with Peanut Butter, which then filled me up.
Dessert 2: Healthy Choice Fudge Bar, a July favorite
