Cheeseburger Pockets

One of my go-to instagram cooking accounts is Feeding the Frasers. In fact, it’s the only cooking instagram account I follow.

Back in May, I went through the Feeding the Frasers instagram and decided to make a list of all the recipes that I wanted to try. I have tried a few of Sammy’s recipes in the past, and she has never steered me wrong. All of them were delicious.

On my new list was: Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburger Pockets. Basically a cheeseburger, but in a tortilla wrap instead of a bun. Kind of like a hot pocket, but with a burger. This recipe was super easy, the most difficult part was wrapping up the burger, but I can’t even make a sandwich wrap or burrito.

With that being said, I’d highly recommend giving this recipe a try. It makes for a perfect summer time burger. Plus I threw in some tater tots in the air fryer, and I was in heaven! You can even make some adjustments if needed like I did.

All you need:

  • Ground Turkey (or ground beef, or ground chicken, or already prepared patties)
  • Flour Tortillas (I’d recommend getting the big ones. I accidentally got the medium/small size and it was a tight fit)
  • Bacon (turkey bacon was the cheapest at the store. I’d probably go with regular bacon next time)
  • 1 Jalapeno, chopped
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese (or any cheese you prefer)
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°
  2. Bake bacon for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway. Once done, set aside to let cool. Keep oven on
  3. In a bowl (if making patties from scratch) combine ground turkey, jalapeño, and seasonings of choice
  4. Form into 3 oz patties (I was able to get 6 patties & a 1oz meatball)
  5. In large non-stick pan, cook patties on high for 4-6 minutes on each side.
  6. Once patties are done, on a parchment lined baking sheet, put together pockets. Take 1 tortilla and top with cheese, bacon, patty and fold (I found that folding the sides then the top was easier). Flip so that the seam is face down.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes

I’d recommend air frying some tater tots or potatoes!

Will definitely be making these again!
